Virgin Media 'offers fastest broadband'
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of cheap broadband deals.Virgin Media, which offers broadband deals through skinttarrffs.com, has been ranked the fastest provider over the last month.
A study by Broadband Choices, revealed that consumers with Virgin Media experienced an average connection speed of 11Mb.
Customers with the provider were also found to enjoy 55.1 per cent of the highest promised speed.
Sky Broadband, which also offers deals through skinttarriffs.com, was the only other provider to give its customers more than eight Mbs of download speeds.
But Virgin customers will be enjoying the results the most, amid promises that the firm will also be increasing speeds for all 4Mb customers and experimenting with even more speed.
Michael Philips, product director at Broadband Choices said:"However, as well as trialling speeds of up to 50Mb, Virgin Media has started a process of upgrading all of its 4Mb customers to 10Mb connections for free, and this will definitely improve speeds for many people on the company's fast, reliable cable network."
