Stay fit phone launched
News brought to you by Skint Tariffs, providers of price comparison for cheap international calls. Consumers who like staying in touch while they are keeping fit may be interested in the latest Samsung handset, launched in collaboration with Adidas.
The miCoach phone works with Adidas shoes and sportswear to keep track of a user's exercise and with a website, helps plan and motivate their training.
Inside the handset there is a heart rate monitor, stride sensor, MP3 player and the voice of a "personal coach".
Like any mobile phone, users will be able to key in an access code to make cheap international calls.
But, unlike other phones it will monitor the user's heart rate and issue instructions on when to slow down or speed up to meet specific goals for distance, fitness or calorie burn.
The phone records information from a heart sensor on a belt worn around the chest and a stride counter attached to the shoe laces.
Fitness fans can expect to buy the phone later this month when it is released in Europe.
